Forced Low latency Handoff in Mobile Cellular Data Networks

چکیده

In this paper, a hand off procedure is proposed which in addition to eliminate the packet loss and reduce the packet delay, it reduces the network overhead. In this method, the future cell is predicted and packets are transmitted to this cell during hand off time. Then mobile host is allowed to handoff to this cell only. We call this procedure, forced handoff. In addition, we propose a simple topology to localize handoffs. S imulation results will evaluate our protocol compare to the previous protocols.
